Song of the Day
The Hempolics haben sich u.a. bei Max Fleischers "Somewhere in Dreamland" bedient um ihr neues Musikvideo "Get It Right" im Corona Lockdown umzusetzen. Eine gute Idee, sind die Fleischer Cartoons doch Public Domain und passen zum dopen Sound. Über Max Fleischers Cartoon Art bzw., wie er die Animationsfilme revolutionierte, hatte ich ja schon in diesem Beitrag erwähnt und erklärt: blog.atomlabor.de/2019/12/wie-max-fleischer-animationsfilme-revolutionierte.html. We're completely hands on and make our own video's but the lockdown made it impossible to get the band and singers together to make one like we usually do. So, I started looking around public domain film to do a mashup video instead and found these amazing vintage cartoons that just had the imagery to perfectly fit in with the song's vibes and lyrics.
Wieder einmal haben die Hempolics ein Händchen für gute Musikvideo-Umsetzung bewiesen. Das neue Album "Kiss, Cuddle & Torture Volume II" droppt ja am 03.07.2020 und steht schon in meinem Plattenregal. Eine Scheibe, welche man sich absolut geben kann und sollte und gerne regelmäßig auf meinem Dreher liegt. Mehr dazu dann später zum Veröffentlichungstag /Release-Day ^^. Heute also das neue Musikvideo als "Song of the Day".
