Das mir keiner sagt ich hätte die Musik zum Wochenende vergessen ^^
Natürlich habe ich da noch etwas in petto. Und zwar den Briten George Evelyn.George, besser bekannt als Nightmares on Wax, veröffentlicht bald sein neues Album und hat erst neulich sein nächstes Musikvideo veröffentlicht, der Titel-Track des Albums.

Das Album "Shape the Future" wird nun am 26.01. veröffentlicht und ich habe schon vorweg reingehört - wie die letzen Musikvideo-Single-Auskopplungen, ist das Album aus meiner Sicht großes Kino. Super chillig, aber nicht gefällig oder gar langweilig.
So steht Nightmares On Wax immer noch für eine einzigartige Mischung aus Hip-Hop und Soul, aus Dub und Club-Sounds und auf "Shape The Future" klingt diese nun schon über Jahrzehnte hinweg perfektionierte Gratwanderung so flüssig und schlüssig wie nie zuvor. Schon toll, wenn Künstler sich so treu bleiben könne und trotzdem nicht im Sumpf des Mainstreams untergehen.
An artist like George has managed to stay relevant throughout his career making uplifting music with positive vibes and I think that’s key to his longevity. He’s sincere and passionate about his music and that shines through and definitely an overriding reason why I chose to take on the project. The highlight of which has been working on the video for ‘Shape the future’ it’s a killer track with a positive message running through it.

Aus diesem Grund ist das neue Album auch mein Tipp und als kleines Schmankerl vorweg gibt es noch eine Hommage an N.O.W. von Andy Hickford (der legt regelmäßig in Leeds auf) und hilft uns damit beim Warten aufs neue Album.A selection of some of my favourite tracks by N.O.W. N.O.W. are on tour in early 2018 - I'm looking forward to seeing them at Belgrave Music Hall in Leeds at the beginning of February.
