DJ Ridym - RnB Sessions 12 | Die entspannte jazzige Seite von Hip Hop und RnB

Lehn dich mal gaaanz entspannt zurück. Du hast es dir verdient. 

Dienstag. Das klingt so nach harter Arbeit. Doch kurz vor den Sommerferien hier in NRW, hat doch keiner mehr so richtig Lust auf einen "Dienst" Tag. Wortklauberei. Nun, eigentlich geht es mir auch heute eher um die Entspannung, gibt ja genug stressige Dinge die man so zu erledigen hat. Was da hilft? Gute Musik. Denn Musik bringt mich immer runter. In diesem Fall das RnB Mixtape 12 von DJ Ridym. Ridym haben wir hier im Labor schon ein paar Mal gefeatured. Keine Frage, nicht alle Übergänge sitzen perfekt, aber der gute Ridym hat ein Gespür für gute Tracks wie Fräulein Smilla für Schnee.

This instalment of RnB Sessions focuses it's spotlight on the Jazz side of Hip Hop and RnB. No one can doubt the influence of Jazz on Hip Hop and RnB and the impact it's been having on new artists such as London based rapper Alpha Mist and Dubliner Rejjie Snow representing the rap scene in Ireland.  French Kiwi Juice (FKJ) team up with London based Soul and Jazz-Funk singer/producer Tom Misch for the seriously funky losing my way. Tom is doing great things out there so definitely on my radar.  Common, Slum, De la and Outkast merge into each other to provide a seamless jazzy hip hop ride finishing right back where I started with Indigo Jam Unit's jazz take on Commons come close.
