Ein schönes Portfolio was der 1980 in Frankreich (Longjumeau, Süd Paris) geborene und zur Zeit in Brooklyn lebende Fotograf, Franck Bohbot gekonnt zu präsentieren weiss.
Ich habe mich bewußt für die Veröffentlichung, von mir ausgewählten Bildern, seiner "This Land Is Your Land" Serie entschieden, da diese Serie seine Wahlheimat für meinen Geschmack am Besten präsentiert.
Er schafft es perfekt das mystische an New York einzufangen.
Seine Vorlieben für Portraits und Landschaften kann man teilen und gerade seine New York Bilder, welche retro wirken und doch so modern sind, zeigen auf wie interessant seine Wahlheimat eigentlich ist.
Meine obligatorischen Interviewfragen an Franck gab es natürlich auch wieder.
How long have you been photographing and what was your first picture ?
I have been photographing for 5 years, and started my carrier as an artist photographer in 2009 in my Country, France.
What kind of cameras do you use most ?
I use mostly a 24x36 Camera and Medium Format and most recently a sony RX1 for my portraits.
Which idols do you have?
I don't have idols, but my inspiration and admiration goes to S. Kubrick, Arnold Newman, The Cinema and the Dusseldorf School of Photography
What was your biggest success so far ?
The biggest success i have, is to be able to live with my art and passion, The photograph of the Bibliothèque Sainte-Geneviève means a lot to me and it's a success in every aspect.
What are your next plans?
I just moved to New York for few years, starting some project here, but still planing to make some shot in Paris and Europe. I started 2 news projects, that i ll finish in the next year i hope.
Do you know Germany ?
Yes i know Germany, for the moment i have been to Berlin only, and i love there, i could live there. I wish to discover more and more cities in Germany, so many spaces to shot and people to meet.
