Soul T is a singer,song writer and drummer born in Burundi(but originally from Rwanda), where he started singing in a gospel group at the tender age of 14, inspired by Otis Redding and Percy Sledge.. As a group, they played all around the country and even came to release two albums, still appreciated by the local gospel community. The group continued to perform and Soul T would listen to Shirley Ceasar as much as Al Green’s sensual falsetto or the engaged hip hop of A Tribe Called Quest.
When Soul T moved from Africa to Brussels, he teamed up with the gifted Maurice Poto (Keys&Guitar), Pierre Spataro(Sax), Noah Nzuamo(Vocals) and Vanessa Ngoga (Vocals).
A debut album co-produced with Maurice Poto is about to be finished ; a pure soul jewel you might wanna put in a continuous loop. Soul T also toured with Didier Likeng in Poland & Spain, sang background vocals for Josh Groban, Kat Deluna and Belgian neo-soul diva Cléo. He participated on the French mixtape Nuthin but Love, on 3 tracks of Taipan’s album ‘Je vous Aime’ recorded with Stromae, appeared on Nuffsaid’s Album, and on The SoulTag project…
